The PI Collection from Ethnicraft

Short for Polished Imperfect, the PI Collection from Ethnicraft is inspired by the balance that exists in nature, embracing organic curves and the beauty of solid wood. The collection draws inspiration from the delicate balance found in the natural world, seamlessly blending the raw beauty of wood with minimal, Belgian design.

The lines and gentle curves showcase the growth and grain of solid wood, whether its oak, mahogany or sycamore adding understated elegance to any space. The oak dining table also features the unique smooth connections where legs and tabletop meet and echoes in the tops of the sideboards and benches. The gently curved and polished tops give way to the leg that grows through into sight rather than being hidden beneath. Smooth, curved details and warm hues define each piece contributing to a calming space that evokes the serenity of nature.

The collection’s shelving and wall decor pieces offer both functionality and artful elements. The wall shelves blend practicality with the collection's design philosophy, allowing you to showcase your treasured books, plants or mementos with care. Complementing them are the wall hanger sets which add character to a wall and highlight the beauty of personal belongings like a coat or bag. The dark brown mahogany coat rack is a sculptural beauty that elevates a hall or entryway.

Designer Alain Van Havre was inspired by his nature walks "I believe it is essential for us humans to get back in touch with our natural environment and reconnect with our senses, I like to embrace the imperfections of nature and incorporate them into my designs. I find it fascinating how species are in a constant evolution towards perfection. The organisms and shapes we see today, are the result of billions of years of evolution, redesigning and optimising. In each product, I try to obtain irregularities. What makes each piece unique and full of character.”

The Pi collection is made by Ethnicraft furniture, using sustainable solid wood for their usual high quality build and finish.
