We are very happy to say that a large number of our upholstered dining chairs collection can be ordered in fabrics with Aquaclean Technology, a technology which means spills and marks can be cleaned with just water and a cloth, no chemicals required! It also has SafeFront Protection built in.

Aquaclean® technology is a revolutionary fabric treatment that allows you to clean stains using water only. This provides you with simple fabric maintenance in the minimum amount of time.
Aquaclean helps to remove the majority of household stains (wine, ink, sauce, fat, mud, chocolate, cream, etc.) making life easier and giving you more time for the more important things.
AquacleanTechnology is an advanced fabric protector for upholstery of all kinds. It's a treatment that covers every fibre with an invisible molecular layer that prevents dirt from penetrating the fabric. The protective layer is incorporated into each fibre meaning that stains can be removed without having to use any type of cleaning product that could actually damage the fabric and its colour. All you need is a cloth and a small amount of water.
To clean a stain, simply pour a little water on the fabric and then blot with a clean cloth. After a few seconds, gently rub the material using circular movements and the magic happens: the stain disappears. And this works for all types of stains, including red wine and coffee!
SAFE FRONT® is a protection against mites and bacteria which cause many household allergies. It is a totally ecological and harmless method of eliminating the presence of mites and bacteria in fabric. This development, in a natural way, prevents domestic dust mites from reproducing by incorporating a protective shield containing inorganic particles to avoid any humidity in it. The result is a totally hygienic, anti-allergic and smell free surface.
This coating is also what makes Aquaclean with SafeFront a recommended fabric for living with pets protecting against dust mites and bacteria and as it also behaves like flexible barrier, it makes it harder for pet nails and claws to reach the core fabric and fray the fibres. It does not make the fabric indestructible but does prolong its life.
PFC Free, the Aquaclean fabrics meet the OEKO-TEX Standard 100, an international safety certification that guarantees textiles are free from any harmful chemical products and meets the most demanding tests regarding fire resistance BS5852-1&2, UNE EN ISO 1021-1&2.
Fabrics with Aquaclean Technology® have been certified with the Made in Green® registered trademark, which guarantees the absence of harmful substances in fabrics and that the manufacturing process does respect the environment.
Maintenance and Cleaning
For regular upkeep: vacuum with your upholstery tool
Cleaning a mark or spill:
- Remove any excess residue on the upholstery
- Apply water over the stain, either directly or using a damp cloth. Wait a few seconds
- Press down over the stain with the damp cloth and rub gently using circular movements. Repeat if not fully removed on the first attempt.
- Aquaclean Technology® is a cleaning facilitator, meaning most stains do come off using water only. If this is not the case, in extreme circumstances we have found you can add a little neutral hand soap to the water.
