2024 Colour palettes

2024 is all about warmth, the cool of grey is behind us and our neutrals are drifting towards cream and beige, we are warming up to a rosy year ahead.

'In seeking a hue that echoes our innate yearning for closeness and connection, we chose a colour radiant with warmth and modern elegance. A shade that resonates with compassion, offers a tactile embrace, and effortlessly bridges the youthful with the timeless' - The Pantone Colour Institute.

PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz captures our desire to nurture ourselves and others. It's a velvety gentle peach tone whose all-embracing spirit enriches mind, body, and soul.

Whilst this isn't necessarily the shade you will be painting your living room, the choice of a colour of the year is an indicator of the feel for the year ahead. Trends forecasting is the reason why your fashion and home purchases are cream led and not grey, your monochromes are on warm winter white not on stark white, and your hardware is probably gold and champagne, not chrome. They are all influenced by this movement towards the warm.

WGSN, the world's leading forecaster of worldwide patterns, named Apricot Crush as their Colour of the Year 2024, foreseeing its influence within the interiors, fashion and marketing world.

“In a world of polarisation, we can all agree on the power of colour to create positive emotions. Both shades, WGSN’s Apricot Crush and Pantone’s Fuzzy Peach, nourish, heal and encourage a sense of wellness. Apricot Crush is a particularly dynamic and positive colour that brings energy and brightness to challenging times, nourishing the mind. The body will remain a top priority for our consumers and unexpected colours such as Apricot Crush will play into this.”  - Urangoo Samba, Head of Colour, WGSN
